We offer PADI courses from beginner up to Divemaster. We can promise that you will have a fun and safe time with every course we offer.

If you have never been in the sea before we are confident the highest level of training offered by our instructors will ensure you will become a confident PADI diver. We offer all courses in English and Thai and other languages on request.

Most of our courses can be provided at local dive sites as day diving but why not combine your course with a liveaboard trip where you can enjoy the comfortable environment of our great boat,  Mare West.

Our courses can also be tailored to suit your requirements so please don’t hesitate to contact us with any special requirements that you may have.

This is an opportunity for non-divers to try out diving under the careful direct supervision of a PADI dive instructor. You will learn a small amount of dive theory and then go on a real dive with your instructor.

Open Water Diver (4 to 5 days)

This PADI course teaches you how to become a safe, confident diver. The course comprises three components. Training starts with your instructor in a swimming pool where you can safely and easily learn all the skills you will need to be a diver in the ocean. The theory component is based on individual learning (reading and self-assessment done by you in your own time) combined with multimedia classroom and teacher training. The final element is four open water dives over 2 days with your instructor. You repeat the skills learned in the pool and experience the joy of the underwater world for the first time before celebrating becoming an Open Water Diver.

The Open Water course starts with 2 days our classroom and pool facilities in Ranong. The four final dives can be completed as 2 separate day trips of better still as part of one of our liveaboard adventures.

Scuba Tune Up (half day)

A refresher course with in a swimming pool practicing your dive skills with one of our instructors. Ideal if you have not dived for some time and feel the need to freshen up your skills before a dive trip. Some dive theory is also included to help you “brush up” on your dive tables, etc.

Advanced Open WaterDiver (2 days)

This course offers Open Water Divers the opportunity to expand their diver training and theory to a higher level. The course comprises 5 dives with the Deep Diver and Navigation Diver being required. Your get to choose 3 dives from the following:

• Peak performance buoyancy (fine tune your buoyancy to help conserve energy, increase dive time and avoid damaging the underwater environment)

• Night Diver (great chance to see creatures never observed during the day!)

• Underwater Naturalist (learn more about the sea life you observe)

• Drift Diver

• Underwater Photographer

Adventure Diver (2 days)

These PADI courses are ideal if you want to expand your practice and theory of different types of diving. Choose once course from the following options:

Rescue Diver (3 - 4 days)

Many people rate this as the most fun course that PADI offer. It will certainly increase your confidence as a diver and provide you with skills that will assist you in the event of any problems or emergencies you might encounter in and out of the water. The 3 - 4 day course includes rescue skills practiced in the swimming pool, out in ocean and some classroom teaching.

You will have an opportunity to practice some scenarios from panicked diver to underwater unconscious diver until you feel confident to deal with a similar real life situation. The EFR course below is required to complete this course and is usually taught first as a one day programme for divers of non-divers.

Emergency First Response (EFR) (1 day)

This is a CPR and basic first aid course that is not only suitable for divers but for anyone (ie that means every body) who might encounter someone in need of help. This course is a lot of fun and can be learnt by people of all ages and abilities. You will learn how to assess emergency situations and, how to respond to and assist victims, perform CPR, rescue breathing, bandage and comfort patients.

Divemaster (6 weeks minimum)

This is the first professional level PADI dive course and will give you the skills required to carry out the duties of a paid guide and instructors assistant. When you are ready we offer you opportunities to guide real customers on our dive  trips. Here you will learn the key skills to becoming an excellent, professional Divemaster.

Your knowledge of diving, it’s affect on the body and the science of diving increases greatly with the theory part of this course.

We do not limit the length of time you can take to finish the course with us. This is because we believe that each individual’s learning is different and those with more time can have more time to join us on dive trips and relax in the beautiful surroundings of Ranong.

With all our courses we can help you get here (and away!), find accommodation and can offer lots of local advice such as where to eat and local beauty spots to visit.
